Check and fill fluid and oil levels in all fleet vehicles on a daily basis.
Perform routine maintenance and safety inspection on the all fleet vehicles. Inspect engine belt tensions and maintain tire pressure. Check operation of running lights and refrigeration units. Inspect fleet for visual damage.
Prepare and maintain accurate records and/or logs as required by policies and procedures.
Monitor and record fuel tank levels ensuringappropriate amount of fuel.
May be required to perform cleaning of fleet vehicles.
Adhere to all US Foods safety practices and policies, as well as DOT regulations and safety guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.

Related Experience/Requirements: Previous experience as a diesel mechanic preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be at least 21 years of age with 3 years clean driving record with no DUI convictions. Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position. Ability to work well with and take direction from others. Ability to read, write and speak English fluently as it relates to the job and to safety regulations. Must possess strong organizational skills and work with little supervision.
